LINAP began as a fund to support a building project in Quirino Province on the main Filipino Island of Luzon in 2004. It has now developed into a training and support ministry with this mission statement:

To empower and equip Filipino Christians by investing in their training and support, thus enabling them to fulfil 'The Great Commission', Matthew 28:18–20.

Love in Action Philippines is now a registered company in the Republic of Ireland.

The leadership team in the Philippines consists of pastors from several different denominations, and LINAP seeks to serve the church wherever there is an open door.

The main thrust of the ministry is to provide church-based training where the students attend one day per week for 40 weeks to complete a three-module program that covers:

  1. Biblical study
  2. Personal spiritual development
  3. Church structure, church functioning and church-based ministry

LINAP provides the teachers and the textbooks, while the host church makes their facilities available to the class. The students are drawn from those seeking leadership training from the host church along with students from surrounding churches who have leadership potential. Over the last fifteen years, more than twelve hundred students have completed the course, many now serve as pastors, church leaders and teachers.

Other ministries have also developed; LINAP KIDZ is LINAP’s child sponsorship project.

iMAP seeks to provide a forum that will enable its partners to more easily interact with each other, obtain and share information about mission opportunities and generally support and facilitate those engaged in Christian mission.

iMAP will achieve this primarily through the medium of online services and social media-based communications, and through harnessing the collective knowledge and experience of its partners within a shared community of mission agencies.
