United Beach Missions Ireland

The focus of United Beach Missions is to advance the Christian faith by organising teams to engage with holidaymakers, tourists, international students and others of all ages, primarily in beach locations but also in cities and towns, and our tagline 'sharing the good news of Jesus' succinctly sums up this vision. There are three core groups that UBM seeks to benefit.

• Holidaymakers and tourists
• Individual Christians
• Local churches

Holidaymakers and tourists: These are the key beneficiaries. UBM runs its activities in popular holiday destinations in Ireland, UK and continental Europe.

Individual Christians: UBM facilitates opportunities for individual Christians to give up a week or more of their holiday to volunteer. These weeks have been formative for so many Christians over the years, preparing them to serve in other Christian ministries. UBM seeks to encourage and train and equip Christians in gospel work.

Outside of the summer, UBM run training events and ‘reunion’ conferences. This is one way that individuals benefit from being part of the bigger organisation and not just their week of volunteering.

Churches: UBM also engages with local churches who send individual Christians on teams and who support the work through prayer and finance.

Many of our Beach Centres are hosted by local churches who support in many ways both practical and by prayer.
