iMAP is a partnership of Mission Agencies, Churches and Individuals who come together to facilitate the activities of mission in all its forms, both within Ireland and overseas. iMAP seeks to provide a forum that will enable its partners to more easily interact with each other, obtain and share information about mission opportunities and generally support and facilitate those engaged in Christian mission. iMAP will achieve this primarily through the medium of on-line services and social media-based communications and through harnessing the collective knowledge and experience of its partners within a shared community of mission agencies.
As a partnership, iMAP relies on the involvement and contribution of the members, with the Executive Committee looking after the programme of meetings, events and promotional material, including the website and social media. iMAP also provides an easy way for people to support agencies, projects and individual workers through our donations system that can maximise giving through the Revenue Charitiable Donation Scheme, increasing qualifying donations by up to 44.5% for Irish taxpayers at no cost to them. One-off mission projects can also join and avail of the donations system. iMAP does the work and you can reap the benefits.
Primarily the goal is partnership in mission – to inform, challenge and stimulate each other, as well as finding ways to collaborate to maximise the impact of our efforts for the glory of God. When a church or an individual comes in contact with iMAP, they immediately have access to all of the mission agencies, projects and resources. That way, someone interested in a particular ministry or part of the world can find out who is working in that field and how they can get involved. Partners are asked to promote iMAP at their events to enhance this.
Being part of iMAP provides a way to serve the church in Ireland bringing encouragement, shared resources and fellowship. As an umbrella organisation, this can particularly help those with small teams in Ireland, and means members without an office or charity status in Ireland can comply with charity regulations.
Mutual encouragement and fellowship is provided in working together for mission in and from Ireland and as we hear about what God is doing in so many different ways.
However, it’s not just about what the central team offers the partners, but about what we all offer each other. The more who join together with us, the more opportunity for creative partnership.
The subscription for Mission Partners is €250 per year and €150 per year for Projects. Church partners, church organisations and individuals do not pay a subscription fee.
This is reviewed annually and covers the administration costs and our part-time finance and contact persons. iMAP also retains 5% of all donations processed.
We ask all Partners to send a representative to the two annual meetings, in April and October. These are held either online or in person. Partners are expected to play their part by occasionally serving on the iMAP Executive Committee. If there are insufficient partners willing to serve on the Exec, then partners will be approached and expected to take their turn in sequence. Partners are asked to inform us of events and opportunities they are involved in so that we can share them more widely. Most importantly, partnership is about working together to advance the cause of mission throughout Ireland.
You can contact our team with any pertinent questions, and we will respond as soon as possible.
